Dr. Alex Lesniak, Associate Veterinarian, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr Alex Lesniak graduated from Purdue University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science. Then in 2016, she received a Master’s of Arts in Humane Education from Valparaiso University. She continued her education at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London graduating in 2022 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and is a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
She loves working with all animals but her passion is backyard chickens, birds and other exotic pets. Dr. Lesniak's hobbies include reading, gaming, dancing, theater, attending comic conventions and arts & crafts. Dr. Lesniak resides in South Bend with her dog Thorfinn, cats Elphaba and Grizabella, and house chicken Rose Tyler.
Dr. Lesniak is a Fear Free Elite Certified Professional and a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian through CAETA.
Her last conference was the American Exotic Mammal Veterinary Association and American Amphibian and Reptile Association joint conference in Summer 2024 in NOLA!
